Prayer Bulletin – February 1, 2012

"The best home land security is to share

the Gospel with a Muslim"

Praises:

Bouwe Aukema had both knees operated on last week. He is home recovering but did have some

treatment for a blood clot in his right leg. But at this time all is going well.

Bob Bowman has returned home after several weeks in the hospital

Ellen Cornell is doing better as her blood count is improving. She is recovering at Sayre.  They

request no visitors because her immune system is susceptible to germs.

Awana Grand Prix last Saturday went well and over 90 people attended.  We had excellent weather

for people to come

Praising God for the wonderful weather we are having this winter

Support and Health Needs

Those in our fellowship who are struggling with finances, marriages, and dealing with sick children

For the Presidential candidates that will be running for office this November and that God would be gracious to

give us a leader who would lead and seek God’s Word for our Nation

The volatile situation that Iran is causing in threatening to close the shipping route called, The Strait of Hormuz,

this is the transportation route of the Middle East for oil shippers and the threats have been heightened due to the European Union (EU) embargo on not purchasing oil from Iran.  Iran makes no secret in its leadership that it would like to annihilate Israel and would also like to deliver a severe blow to the US.  The whole world is aware that Iran continues its nuclear program in the production of a nuclear bomb

For countries in grave turmoil in bringing death to many Christians in the countries of Nigeria, Egypt, Syria,

India, Pakistan, just to name a select few  -  also those in Mexico as many are being executed by the

drug cartel as well as the war at the border with illegal immigrants fleeing to America looking for work

We all have loved ones in our families that are not saved; pray we have a burden for their salvation and to

share Christ with them.

Our Sunday School Teachers who teach the Word of God and our Awana leaders who are faithful as they work

with the young people

For the teens on Friday as they will be traveling to Misercordia to watch the film Courageous.  Pray that a

good number will go and that the Holy Spirit will use this tool to touch their lives for Christ.  They are leaving from the church at 5:30 PM

Be in prayer support for the nation of Israel as the countries surround them are in turmoil but can only agree on

their hatred of Israel

PRAY for Judge Shurtleff who will soon have a ruling on the Northmoreland Baptist Church tax

Issue

ROC Ministry, Northeast Bradford is hosting a Super Bowl Party at the high school with a couple of speakers,

one challenging the kids to come to Christ and the other challenging them to be morally responsible.  They expect 150-200 kids scheduled for February 5th.  This is an out reach program with the gospel.  Pray for souls to be saved

Missions

The Kazakhstan case involving Julie Potter and Joy, SEND missionaries, who were jailed for improper paperwork has been found by new officials that it has merit for reopening and reconsideration.  Pray that this will clear the girls’ names for a future return to Kazakhstan.

Maureen Finnegan will be home on furlough from Aug. 9th through November 24th of this year.  She also asks r prayer for the need of a car while on furlough; prayer for a place to hold their Camp Good News® time from July 23rd through the 28th  . The camp site that is usually used has become too expensive and they are trying to find a location that will not be so costly. They are considering starting camp one week earlier; and prayer for the need of an office manager to do the work of finances and sending out receipts
